Bruce Leperre
Director of Music and Programming
He was born in nearby Ste. Rose du Lac, and grew up among the fishes in Waterhen. After spending his high school years in Ste. Rose he discovered the city of Winnipeg where he graduated from the National Institute of Broadcasting back during the short lived but happy days of the 8-track tape.
Bruce courageously entered the radio business in 1979 and is still hoping to one day make enough money to pay off the loan on his 1968 Olds Delta 88. He has always been a big supporter of music born in the land of the beaver and the bison. He is a board member of the Manitoba Country Music Association and is a past board member of the prairie based Academy of Country Music Entertainers.
In May of 2000, Bruce won the Manitoba Country Music Association’s Broadcaster of the Year award and made it 2 in a row in 2002 (the MCMA forgot to have an awards ceremony in 2001 and then again in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007). He has also been nominated for the CCMA Music Director of the Year nine times and four times for On Air Personality of the Year. In 2005 he finally won both of these awards ending his Susan Lucci impression. In 1999 he received a nomination as Media Person of the Year at the very first Prairie Music Awards (now the Western Canadian Music Awards).
Along with his duties at CKDM, Bruce is very involved in the community and sits on the Dauphin and District Allied Arts Council where he attempts to convince local music lovers to come to the historic Watson Art Centre and hear great local and touring artists of all genres. Bruce is also a freelance writer penning a monthly column on Manitoba country music for the Ottawa based Country Music News and is a frequent contributor to the Winnipeg Free Press (weekly CD reviews in the Saturday entertainment section). He also loves to ride his hawg every chance he gets!

The Wake Up Call in the Morning
Well, not much to say. I was born and now I’m bigger. Seriously, I’m a farmer at heart. Born and raised on the family farm near the thriving metropolis of Windthorst, Saskatchewan. After making a fortune at farming, I decided I was too rich to keep this up, so I went to broadcasting school in Saskatoon which lead me to 730 CKDM and I’m still here doing what I love; Waking you up, and keeping you company each and every weekday morning!
Christopher Jay
Middays
Christopher Jay can’t think of a better place to entertain listeners than in the Parkland! He’s your voice for the Bargain Bin each weekday, and he’ll keep you going from 10am until 2pm! Call to say hello or request a song!
Al Gaines
Afternoon Drive and Saturday AM
Catch me weekday afternoons giving you a taste of stupid stories and fun facts, as well as countdowns and things you need to know!
Dave Anthony
Evenings and Weekends
Howdy Parkland! I was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario and moved to a small farming town outside Winnipeg when I was 10. After I graduated high school, I moved into the city to pursue my dreams of working in the radio industry. I love being in Dauphin and it’s quickly feeling more and more like home! My favourite teams are the Toronto Maple Leafs (don’t judge me!) and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In my spare time, I play guitar and write my own music. I’m looking forward to keeping you company in the evenings!
