Drake Warrener of Ste Rose picks up two $500 scholarships for his efforts in athletics and coaching within the community.
He’s one of two recipients of this year’s MASRC/NAIG Legacy Scholarship, which was created through the support of the 2002 North American Indigenous Games Legacies as well as Manitoba Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Council.
Warrener also wins the Coach scholarship for his leadership in Manitoba’s amateur sport community, as well as on academic standing and other school and community related activities.
